Lot Consists of a Very Scarce, Original, Hardcover Copy of the 1946 DOWNS-SMITH BRASS AND COPPER COMPANY - CATALOG AND STOCK LIST: MANUFACTURERS OF BRASS, BRONZE, COPPER AND NICKEL SILVER PRODUCTS from the E.45th Street, NYC and North 13th. Street, Philadelphia, PA based Company. Company Manfactured Commercial and Residential Brass, Bronze, Copper and Nickel Silver Related Parts and Products. Book is loaded with black & white images of the "then" current and new styles and types of Sheet Metals, Rods and Bars, Tubes and Tubing, Custom Extruded Shapes and Angles, Hardware, Fittings, Roofing Products and other Specialties. Catalog also has mechanical spec drawings, cut-aways and parts diagrams with stock numbers and sizing for lots of the items offered and piping specifications. Brown Cloth Hardcover Catalog with Gold Embossing is approx 8-3/4" Wide x 11-1/4" High and has 160 pages of B&W Fitting and Parts Artwork, Stock Numbers and Descriptions. Probably sone that are no longer made or allowed to be used due to codes. Rear of Catalog includes 95 pages of Data on the products offered and a couple of blank Memorandum pages. Cover has some light wear and smudging on edges and spine. There are some light dings on corners of book. Interior Satin Pages are off-white and supple with some light toning and spotting on edges. Still in great condition for a 70+/- year old parts catalog, which was never meant to be kept past a newer, revised issue. Note: Catalog may have some hand written notations.
